Ho ho ho!

Takahiro just walked right up to Santa and let him set him on his lap!

Here is the table to write a letter to Santa......he's pausing to think about what to write to Santa.

There was a parked train that served cookies and hot chocolate. It had an old timey kitchen with a wood stoked stove.

Santa Train

Someone at work gave me tickets for this train. It leaves North Bend and goes to Snoqualamie. It is part of a train museum collection and is very old. It was decorated with lights inside and at the train station in Snoqualamie...Santa was waiting!

People sang christmas carols while riding on the train.

Winter Swing

I didn't take many photos of our Thanksgiving trip to the hot springs and to Portland. This was a great park in Portland.

These pictures are taken outside REI. We went to REI so he could play in the spectacular play area with a huge jungle tree that you can climb in. As I walked up to the tree, REI staff members were wiping down the inside with disenfectant, as some poor little fellow had lost his lunch. I decided to let Takahiro play elsewhere!

Pumpkin Patch

I didn't want to stay inside all weekend like we did last week. so we took a drive 40 min. out of seattle to Woodinville to see the fall harvest events at a farm. By the time we got on the road it had started to rain pretty hard.

The farm had a corn maze, a pick your own pumpkin-patch, small farm animals and a hayride.

These are decorative apple gourds

Rainy Seattle Weekend

Takahiro and his teddy bear look out at the rain.
While mommy drinks a latte, Takahiro drinks steamed milk and eats the foamy, frothy milk.

Apple Juice

Today after a long week of coughing and fevers Takahiro felt better. I took him for a haircut this afternoon and he played for a little bit in the park. Takahiro had learned to say and also sign apple a few weeks ago.
Tonight I gave him a juice box with apple juice. I showed him the apple on the box and said apple juice.
He repeated it and took a sip. He then kept taking sips and saying apple juice after sipping. He was so happy to say it and be understood. I was proud of him for linking two words.
He also had fun squeezing the juice out of the box. But although he made a mess he was happy to clean up with a paper towel.

The box

Takahiro learned to say box last week when I recieved a gold wrapped parcel from Eric. I didn't open it until friday so he had a week to carry it around and wonder about the contents. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of him carrying it. However I did take pictures of him with this box that was inside the gold box. This box smells delicious because it contains vanilla and sandalwood bath fizzies from Lush.
Hmmm what are his plans for my box?!

Good thing the toliet was closed!
Takahiro has a new fascination with toliets and wanting to throw things in....so far I have foiled his attempts!
