We went to eat at Mossburger's. It is tasty burger joint. There were some small children playing. Theo thought they wer quite noisy and woke up from his nap.

Okasan soothed him and his crankiness disappeared. Posted by Picasa
Theo was pretty content on the plane ride. He only had a cranky moment when I put him in the bassinet before he was in a deep sleep.

Later when I put him in he was fine.

He was happy just to sit warm and cozy in one of our laps.

Plane Ride

Theo was pretty relaxed the whole plane ride. He was pretty happy if he was held. He was a little cranky when I put him the basinet but I tried again later when he was good and sleepy and he did just fine.

1st Airplane ride

I was worried that Theo would be scard when the plane took off. I had a bottle ready so the pressure wouldn't hurt his ears.

He barely raised his eyebrows as the plan took off and then he fell right asleep.

He was awake and content during our stop-over at the Vancouver International airport.  Posted by Picasa

First Bus Ride

Waiting for the bus to the airport.
We were lucky to get seats on the bus. A few stops later the bus began to fill up and it was then packed. Theo fell asleep for most of the ride. Posted by Picasa

A Sweltering Seattle Saturday

Pam, Fred and Evy came to visit on a sweltering Seattle saturday.

It must have been in the 90'sI

I had planned to dress Theo in a cute outfit but to dress him in anything more than a diaper would have been cruel.

I had to keep wiping down his body with a wet washcloth to keep him cool.

Despite the heat, Pam and Evy managed to coax coos and smiles Posted by Picasa

Getting out of the house!

I finally got my post-pregnancy hiny out of the house. It seems like I have spent the past few weeks inside the house except for my appointments.

It took me awhile to get outside (we left for our walk at 4:30 pm) but once outside I felt so great I wanted to keep walking. The weather was beautiful.

It felt good to walk further than from the living room to the bedroom or the kitchen.

Theo enjoyed the walk too. He was making content little sounds. It has been fun to hear him become more vocal.

We walked all the way to the library which is about 2 miles round trip I think.

Unfortunately we didn't have much time in the library because it was about to close.

I have to start doing this more often and enjoy the rest of this great summer.

We will have to get an earlier start next time so I can read him a story or two and check out some books. Posted by Picasa

Catherine and Aaron's visit.

We were lucky to have Catherine and Aaron pop in for a visit on their way to a wedding in Idaho.

Theo slept for most of their visit although he did manage to stay awake for a little bit while they were here.

Theo slept quiet and cozy in aunt Catherine's arms.

Theo with uncle Aaron.

I'm holding Theo and his new teddy bears that Catherine and Aaron brought. The next day when Theo was awake I showed him the brown fuzzy bear and let him feel it's fuzzy fur. His chubby little face broke into a huge grin when he felt the fur! Posted by Picasa

Story time

Theo likes when daddy reads him stories!

He listens and looks at the pictures while daddy reads. Posted by Picasa

A hot summer's day

Theo is happy to be in just his diaper on this hot summer day.

Most Seattlites don't have air-conditioning because we don't usually need it.

There have been a handful of days this summer when air conditioning would have been nice.

Theo is relaxed and squeaky clean after his bath.

Exhausted!

Trying to catch a smile

Theo kept grinning at me.... but when I used the flash to take a picture he stopped.

I guess it is hard to smile when bright lights are blinding you.
